Meeting/Event Information
Illinois Chapter usually meets once each month, August through June, on Tuesdays. The Chapter’s annual golf outing and fund raiser always takes place in September. Generally 70 to 80 members gather at monthly meetings, which makes them an excellent networking opportunity for members interested in meeting and developing other contacts in the industry.
The State of Illinois requires professional engineers to complete 30 PDHs (Professional Development Hours) of training for license renewal. The Illinois Chapter ASHRAE offers educational programs with more than enough PDHs to help engineers satisfy this requirement.

We're kicking off the 2012-13 meeting season at the Rock Bottom Brewery, located on Chicago’s north side. (Parking lot is on north side of Grand Ave. east of State Street.) Homemade Rock Bottom beer, root beer and soda will be among the main refreshments served at this casual get together. Come and sample a few of their tasty homemade brews along with burgers and other delicious treats that will be offered at the "Tailgate Party" table.
President Laura Ludwig will describe what we have to offer in the way of educational, social and other events. She’ll also introduce our committees and discuss opportunities for getting more involved in ASHRAE. The Illinois Chapter ASHRAE offers many educational programs with more than enough PDHs to help professional engineers satisfy their continuing education requirement. This year's programs will be built around energy efficiency, humidity controls, VFR, VFDs and other topics. Join us on August 21st and learn more about these and other seminars coming in 2012-13.
As the first meeting of the ASHRAE year, the Kickoff Meeting is the place where you'll meet and hear about ASHRAE leaders and coming events at the local and regional levels. It is also about having fun and networking with your professional peers. We are not only interested in seeing Illinois Chapter regulars at the meeting but also new faces. So bring a friend or someone in your office you think should know about ASHRAE. The employers, the decision makers, the superstars and rising stars of HVAC&R all belong to ASHRAE. We hope you and your company will be represented on this evening!
The meeting cost is $35 per person. Bring a guest and get your reservation in now. This will be a fun event you won’t want to miss!
