Inside Illinois Chapter

Celebrate Your Achievements

Each year ASHRAE gives you the chance to brag a little about your engineering achievements. Illinois ASHRAE's EXCELLENCE IN ENGINEERING AWARDS recognize outstanding engineering projects by members, their engineering firms and owners. Project descriptions are submitted in September. Each description is reviewed and considered by a panel of judges — working HVAC professionals — who select winners in November.  Winners are officially recognized at a presentation ceremony that takes place at the chapter's Annual Holiday Party in December.

Deadline for Submissions is October 23, 2026.

Calling Young Engineers in ASHRAE!

And speaking of subgroups within the Illinois ASHRAE, if you are an ASHRAE member 35 years old or younger (except student members) why not get involved with the Young Engineers in ASHRAE (YEA). Members host several opportunities to get together with other young professionals to socialize, network, learn, and tour interesting project sites. For several years our YEA members have planned and conducted the chapter’s excellent Spring Conference, held usually in March. The YEA committee is chaired by Tomi Bundt and Parker Suyko. Reach them at [email protected]. Find out more about YEA.
