YOUNG ENGINEERS IN ASHRAE (YEA)
All ASHRAE members age 35 and younger (except student members) are automatically considered YEA members and qualify to take advantage of programs and services geared specifically to young professionals.
To ensure a bright future for ASHRAE and the industry, the Young Engineers in ASHRAE (YEA) Committee was developed to create programs and develop a path for our young professional members. At the international level of ASHRAE, YEA members have access to leadership development weekends, scholarships for continuing education courses, and more. At the Chapter level, they participate in variety of educational, career enhancement and social activities exclusively for YEA members — in addition to all regular Chapter programs. The Illinois Chapter has a very active YEA group, which gathers regularly to plan and conduct activities, including the annual Spring Conference held in March.
